Welcome to your new E-newsletter, the first of many significant changes that have been implemented as a result of the EGM and the mandate from the members. This historic first issue marks the launch platform of a committed drive of our PGA to realising the goals of our membership, following the identification of key areas that required improvement and implementing the strategy to deliver on that commitment.

The E-newsletter will follow a consistent formula, with standard categories of information and updates on each aspect of our association and that of our new partners. As we discussed in the EGM, the association required significantly more revenue and as such the committee has been actively sourcing sponsors of varying levels and are proud to announce that at the time of publication we now have four Official Patrons and two Official Support sponsors. The details follow in the newsletter, but this support is critical to our success and we, collectively need to support them as much as possible in every aspect of our business.

In closing, on behalf of all members of our association, I’d like to convey my thanks and respect to our incumbent committee who have made this ‘new era’ of our association happen. Bravo.

We highlighted that the media watch function and activity is key for the support of our sponsors and is an integral aspect to driving our business forward. The committee has engaged Someone as our media agency for the 2007/8 season which will include all media watch, press release and any other media related activity on behalf of the PGA.

We are proud to announce that at the time of publication the UAE PGA have officially four new companies that have taken the position as Patrons and another two that have taken up Support Sponsor packages. The committee take this opportunity to thank all supporters and pledge our collective support from all members of the association.

This activity is one of the most crucial to the development of the PGA and of course its members. The content for the year has been given substantial thought and utilises both local talent and international affiliations to be in a position to offer a diverse and structured platform of information that will in turn offer significant assistance to our members in developing their individual skill bases. We urge you strongly to make use of this platform and attend as many as possible as attendance will be the benchmark used for the growth of the entire PDP Program going forward.
